United States House of Representatives

The House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the United States Congress, established by Article I of the Constitution. It comprises 435 voting members apportioned among the states by population and elected to two-year terms, together with non-voting delegates and a resident commissioner. The House shares legislative power with the Senate and holds the sole power to originate revenue bills and to impeach federal officials.
